The Perfect Travel Companion Set! With the Beauty Kitchen
The Beauty Kitchen are a total Modeltypeface fave. They’re environmentally and sustainability aware, they donate a portion of their profit to numerous charities and on top of all this, their affordable products really work.
I was sent this travel minis set a while ago, but hadn’t had the chance to test them out until the weekend just gone. I went to my dear friend Fran’s house with the rest of the uni girls. I’m extremely lucky to have a firm set of friends both from school and from uni and these girls…Wow. We lived together for three years and saw one another through so many life phases, so when we meet up it’s incredibly comfortable, loving, familiar and restorative from the off.
We had all had difficult years, and were treated to a guest pass to Fran’s David Lloyd. Did we do the gym? Did we do HIIT classes? No. We noodled around in the warmer pool for a while, and then we did jacuzzi, steam room and spa. This mini kit was amazing for it! I put on the 5 minute Face Mask, which I already know works brilliantly, for the sauna. Then when I came out I applied the oil and moisturiser in aa leisurely a fashion as I could, because everyone else was caregully putting on their make up.
What I really like about this is that you don’t need much else for travel, apart from toothpaste and maybe an SPF. Abyssinian oil, just so you know, is like Argan oil that has been supercharged, but without that thick stickiness that can sit on top of skin. All the girls tried it and everyone commented on the fact that it sank right in without greasiness.
These are reliable products that really hydrate, they’re light and this is the perfect comprehensive travel set. One thing to note is that it’s pump action, and you need to pump a LOT the first time – especially the face mask – until it actually comes out. It took so long I thought maybe it was broken! Warm it up in your palm first, I’m not sure if it helped but it did come out soon after I did that.
At only £20 for a cleanser, oil, face mask AND moisturiser at 30ml each, this is incredible value. Not just for travel, this is a great way to test out whether Beauty Kitchen products are for you, or else they make a brilliant present.
