Christmas is Early on Modeltypeface and Here’s Why!
OK so, usually, I am that person bemoaning early Christmas displays.
But this year, I just got in the mood really early. I bought Christmas cards last week. I bought mugs with wintery scenes on them. I’ve had a minced pie and mulled wine already.
Perhaps it has something to do with this delicious Beauty Kitchen Bath Oil I’ve been slathering myself with over the past month?

Seriously guys, you know I love an oil for the face and body, and I’ve reviewed plenty on Modeltypeface, but I think this might just be my favourite, EVER! It smells like Christmas! It’s redolent of carol services and warming spices simmering on the hob in a vat of red wine (the only way I take my red wine), it’s soothing and it makes you feel toasty simply by putting it on. It even has Frankincese in it!
Seriously though, this oil. It doesn’t just smell delicious, it actually does the job too, thanks (I think) to sesame oil being one of the main components. I’ve spoken before about Ayurveda: that my body type needs warming, nourishing, feeding. Well we probably all feel like that now the temperature has dropped so this would be great for anyone, really. Free from parabens, sulphates and synthetic fragrances, plus they donate a percentage of profits to charities AND take environmental responsiblity (you can find out the specifics on their website).
You can add an egg cup full to your bath and soak in it, letting the ginger and patchouli waft up your nose. I also use it on my body too, as there are no foaming ingredients, and it sinks in beautifully with only a few drops per limb.
Whenever I wear this I get compliments, “Mmm you smell like Christmas,” or “Oooh you smell like cake!” (a figgy pudding variety, not a cupcake). It’s just a super festive, delicious, winter warming treat. Being called ‘Love Me’, you might also like this as a massage oil: it would definitely get me in the mood…For some chocolate orange!
