Renew Life LiverDTX: Not Just for Drinkers!

Before I tried the Renew Life Liver Detox, I would have assumed that it was for those who’d hit the sherry hard over a Christmas period. However, despite the fact that I barely drink and one glass of Prosecco has me sozzled, I realised that, actually, we can all benefit from a bit of a helping hand in this department.

 

 

According to the internet (because it’s a LONG time since I was drawing diagrams of organs in biology class) the liver processes blood coming from the digestive tract, and it also detoxifies chemicals and metabolises drugs. As it breaks these things down, it secretes a bile (mmmm!) that ends up back in the intestines.

So why was I advised by Renew Life’s Dr Sarah to take the LiverDTX, one trial followed directly by another? I had gone through a lot of hormonal fluctuations and was on the pill, which of course is processed by the liver. I was getting a lot of pigmentation around my mouth, which can be a sign of hormonal stress. So my poor burdened liver needed a bit of a helping hand.

You take two pills in the morning and two at night, 30 minutes away from food. The morning ones help the liver detoxify, and I can tell you it worked because oh boy did they make me pee! The evening ones support the production of hormones, enzymes and the regulation of blood sugar levels.

Lastly yet not leastly, it helps with your bile production. Bile helps to emulsify dietary fat, as well as act as a vehicle for toxins into the small intestine, where they’re absorbed by fibre and carried out – you know how.

My pigmentation has undoubtedly reduced, and I definitely felt the pills activating my body if only through the amount I was peeing! It’s got me into good habits: I now take a milk thistle supplement every morning to keep up the good work, and I like a nettle or dandelion tea. Though this is great for periods of life that include more drinking than usual (wedding season, Christmas) this definitely not just for those who like a tipple: I really saw the benefit and I’m practically a nun!
